Roseville Weekend

A Roseville-first summer weekend

Friday, June 5, 2026

Good morning, Roseville.

This is a better local slate than last week: Vernon Street has music all weekend, Mahany has a family foam-dart event, Blue Line Arts has an easy drop-in art option, and Rocklin has one of the rare sports events that is genuinely interesting even if you are not competing.

This Weekend

Friday

The Morgan Wallen Experience at Goldfield

Friday, June 5, 7:00 p.m. at Goldfield Trading Post, 238 Vernon Street. If you want a downtown night that feels like a full plan, this is the anchor: country tribute show, walkable Vernon Street, and an easy dinner-before-show setup.

Friday

Auburn Music on the Square

Friday, June 5, 6:00-8:00 p.m. in Downtown Auburn. Not Roseville, but worth the short drive if you want a free, low-pressure evening with dinner, dessert, shopping, and live music built into one place.

Saturday

Blaster Blitz at Mahany Park

Saturday, June 6, 10:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. at Mahany All Weather Field. Foam dart battle, music, challenges, vendors, food, and a family competition format. This is the most obviously Roseville pick of the weekend.

Saturday

Monthly Family Activity Day at Blue Line Arts

Saturday, June 6, 11:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. at Blue Line Arts, 405 Vernon Street. A simple downtown art stop: guided project, supplies provided, and a good way to make Vernon Street work for families before the evening crowd shows up.

Saturday

UCI Pump Track World Championship Qualifier in Rocklin

Saturday, June 6, 9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. at Whitney Park in Rocklin. This is not just another local sports listing: Rocklin is one of only four U.S. qualifier locations, spectators get in free, and the park has playgrounds and a splash pad.

Saturday

Iron Rose FC at West Park High School

Saturday, June 6, 7:30 p.m. at West Park High School. Iron Rose FC has a men's home match against San Ramon, and this is a nice West Roseville option if you want live sports without a huge production.

Event details
Sunday

Alain Whyte at Goldfield Roseville

Sunday, June 7, 7:00 p.m. at Goldfield Trading Post, 238 Vernon Street. Sunday is thin around town, but this one is specific and useful if you want a music-night cap to the weekend.

Local Notes

  • Roseville is banking water underground. The city says it has stored about 4,515 acre-feet of water so far in 2026, roughly 1.5 billion gallons, through Aquifer Storage and Recovery. Translation: Roseville is trying to make dry years less chaotic before they arrive. Read more
  • The city budget hearing is coming up. Roseville's proposed FY2026-27 expense budget totals $877 million, with the public hearing scheduled for June 17. This is where priorities around public safety, parks, utilities, and infrastructure turn into actual spending. Read more
  • Summer Reading kicks off Saturday. Roseville Public Library starts the Summer Reading Challenge with a kickoff party at Maidu Community Center on June 6. The challenge runs June 1 through August 1 for kids, teens, and adults. Read more
  • Placer County's Heritage Trail opens this weekend. The free museum tour runs June 6 through September 12 across 29 partner museums, from Roseville to Tahoe. Good one to save for slower summer Saturdays. Read more

Small Business Spotlight

Roseville Carpet One Floor & Home

Roseville Carpet One is the kind of local business that disappears into the background until you actually need it. The family story goes back to Ken Mann opening a furniture store near Interstate 80 in the early 1960s, then shifting into flooring as Roseville grew.

The practical reader angle: if summer has you staring at tired carpet, scratched laminate, or a room you keep meaning to fix, this is a long-running local flooring shop with roots near Denio's and a real Roseville history.

Neighbor Tip

If you are doing Mahany on Saturday, park once and make it count: Blaster Blitz is at the all-weather field, the library and Utility Exploration Center are right there, and the Mahany trail connections make it easy to turn one event into a longer morning without driving across town.
